As a photographer, I find myself wondering how I can capture a well known and much photographed subject, tulips, in a different way. A different perspective. I always enjoyed abstract images, but always wanted some sense of realism too. So I looked for that new perspective; letting my creative juices flow, listening to one of my favorite music artist, “Adele”, common images like Tulips, transformed into images of merging colors and motion. As a result, I have created, “MB- Dancing Tulips – 2011″.

Randy says: “Wow, we are having weather in Tucson AZ! I mean not just sunny and warm but real weather. Here’s a sight you don’t see every day, FOG! Had a photographer on the morning hike (in Tucson Mountain Park) that got some great seldom seen shots of our beautiful desert! Here’s a shot of him (that would be me) getting the shots.” This was taken by my guide, Randy, with SW Trekking. Next time you are there, look him up. He knows his stuff!Family Portraits

Having your first child, you become very proud parents. But don’t forget that your parents, become proud grandparents. So when you are thinking of family photos, don’t just include them in your list of recipients of your child’s pictures as gifts, but include your parents as part of the photo session. Why not?
Now you can make a tradition of including your parents as part of your family’s regular family portraits.

Children’s Photos

I simply adore children and I have always enjoyed taking their pictures. In a blink of an eye, my kids grew up fast and are no longer living under the same roof. I am glad I have some decent photos of them.
Children do not stay children for very long. Yes, from 0-18 years old, flies by at the speed of light. So, to slow things down, why not have a few pictures taken of them and then, frame them and hang them on your wall. So, when they do go away to college, or get married and move to another town, you will have those lovely photographs to remember them by. To quote a Jim Croce song, “Photographs and memories…all that I have are these to remember you…
So while your kids are still young, from newborn to high school age, take the time and get their pictures taken and often.
Cheers,

Why do engagement shots?
by mberona on Aug.24, 2009, under engagements, Photography, weddings
The engagement shoot is the prelude to the wedding day. It announces your upcoming event, but wait there are other reasons as to why you should do engagement shots.
You have spent a long time interviewing potential wedding photographers. All have the credentials, the portfolio and even the testimonials. So why haven’t you selected one yet? Well, you are wondering if there is chemistry between you and the photographer. The connection is very important. Did you know that the photographer is also, asking; “Can I work with the couple”? Will they accept my style of photography? One way to make sure is to take the photographer for a test drive. Find out what the cost is for engagement shots. If you have the time, one year before your big day or so, ask to incorporate an engagement shoot with your wedding package, if you feel that they are the ones for you.
Another reason for pre-wedding shots could be that you want to incorporate these photos into your wedding plans. Like, photo inserts in wedding invitations, photos on wine bottle labels, use as part of the sign in table and the list goes on and on.
This couple, Rei and Jonathan, just wanted to send their shots with their invitations and especially show off the city they live in, “Seattle, Wa”. So if you have chosen a photographer for your wedding, but still would like to feel good about your choice, take them out for a test drive and sign them up for an engagement shoot.
Cheers,
